A corn processing factory that is part of the group of the respected company Fonseca & Irmãos Indústria, SA. Strategically located in PDIC - Catumbela Industrial Pole, we are a reference in the sector.

With a daily production capacity of 250 tons of corn, our factory is an essential pillar in the industry. We have an advanced storage system, consisting of 3 external silos, providing space for up to 4000 tons of corn.

At YOKIMBO, we maintain a solid commitment to quality, efficiency and innovation. Our robust performance and strategic position allow us to play a key role in the food supply chain.

Where it all began

João and Horácio Fonseca begin their commercial activity with a small establishment located in the Dombe area, Benguela. Its original activity was based on the retail trade of food goods and its clientele was mainly workers linked to the industrial sugar production unit existing at the time.

Expansion to Benguela

The company expanded its area of activity to the city of Benguela, starting wholesale trade in food and other goods, an activity that is still in development.

First corn grinding

The partners decided to enter the corn milling business and acquired the shares in the company Moagem Lda. from its holders. This manufacturing unit was improved and expanded and continues to operate normally today.

New commercial area in Benguela

Opening of a new commercial area with an area of 3000m2, specialized in wholesale trade, right in the heart of the city of Benguela.

Entry into retail trade

We increased our facilities by 1000 m2 of covered area, with the aim of also entering the retail sector, thus responding to the challenge that our customers proposed to us.

Birth of Yokimbo

With a bold vision and unwavering determination, we opened the first corn processing plant in the heart of PDIC - Catumbela Industrial Pole.

Future state-of-the-art facility represents a significant milestone in our journey, driving not only our commitment to innovation but also strengthening our presence in the energy sector.
